NEW BRAUNFELS, TX. — Former rock radio on-air personality turned Chef, Chuck Stanley has released his 1st cookbook from his two restaurants, CBQ Eatery and CBQ Smokehouse.

“Eat CBQ: The Cookbook” takes familiar Texas BBQ, turns the music up LOUD and amplifies BBQ to another level. Chuck Stanley worked at 99.5 KISS-FM and Cox Radio in San Antonio from 1995-2006.  Chuck provided a daily rock news segment called “The Rock Report” and was the primary band interviewer and concert reporter.  After retiring from radio in 2006, he attended The Art Institute of Houston and graduated valedictorian in the culinary arts in 2009.  Chef Chuck opened CBQ Eatery in Schertz, Texas in 2010.  In early 2014, an opportunity arose to move the restaurant to New Braunfels, Texas.  CBQ Eatery became CBQ Smokehouse and it served the community till May 2018, when health issues forced Chuck to retire from day-to-day operations.
